great great show.

All the wonderful people who came thank you!
It was a nice little turnout at the Fort Gallery and it was hot.

Really Really HOT.

All the bands were amazing.

Man/Miracle was so energetic and powerful and the drum fills made Trevor and I laugh.

Tempo no Tempo was dancy as hell and it was fun when they put the whole entire crowd to the other side of the room while we stood next to the drummer, chris, and the bassist and Tyler sang at us.

That was a first.

So entertaining.

Then we played and we were so happy that people enjoyed it and were having fun during our set. A lot of nice folks came up to us after and it was just a really great show for us.

Sleepy Sun blew my mind.

Plain simple.

We left while listening to The Magnetic Fields and It was grand.

cheers folks,

VOTE FOR US

Reccently we were nominated by the deli sf as one of the top 5 new best bands of the month. We would love your votes. The winner of the most votes competition gets a lot of press on the Deli website and it is a great way to promote the local bay area bands who need to get their name out there to the world. The deli also gives you a review if you win that is read by tons of pr people, booking agents, labels, distributors, publishing companies, and other bands.
Vote for us here:

We appreciate the support and love.
Hope everyone supports the local music in Santa Cruz.

new lyrics

cassa
nova
wonder who the next girl
teach me
your ways
of picking up the chics

i know that your soul is dirty
that's why the devil won't let you go
i know your personality is grand
the girls won't let you leave their hand

cassanova
cassanova jerk X2

i know that your soul is dirty
that's why the devil won't let you go
i know your personality is grand
the girls won't let you leave their hand

sorry
i can't remember it all right now
i have the piece of paper at my other house, but that'll give you a little taste of it. The bridge is awesome, because it has a line about some pimp cassanova guy who wears yves st. laurent jeans. I have always wanted to throw some sort of lyric like that in a song. Also one about bali shag and the people who smoke it. Or a lyric about a man in his birthday suit. I was also thinking about writing a romance novel and taking inspiration from that. Lyrics are such an interesting art, because after a while you start to develop your style. Everyone as a songwriter knows that each person has their own delivery (for their lyrics), subject matter, and way they phrase their words whether it be if they annuciate heavily or slur. Songwriting and lyricism has been my focus the last year as a songwriter. I've just been trying to get better. Be sure to check out the new vox jaguars recording on our myspace. I put them up yesterday and since then we've gotten like 90 plays? Pretty good i'd say.

Patrick if you're reading this please listen.
We are also playing a show in Oakland next saturday with good friends and fellow rockers Tempo No Tempo, Man/Miracle, and Sleepy Sun (plus some other travelling bands). Come check it out if you can. It happens to be at the Fort Gallery.

bare hands

I'm heavily into the doors rights now. They are amazing. Check out their song The End
It blows minds. Jim Morrison's lyrics are so dark, and they put you in a mood.

My father and i talked about why women are so attracted to Jim Morrison.
Tall, mysterious, a deep sexual voice, a jerk, and all out wild child.
Oh dear the next show the vox jaguars are doing will make you melt.
I'm taking tips from Jim.
BEWARE

This weekend was crazy, and i got a lot of inspirations from my friends from out of town. New songs coming soon and we have a show this friday at pergolesi with the spurts and Tempo No Tempo (from berkeley). We will not have Sam at this show so it will be completely power-trio status. Come one come all! The Libra show was really fun friday night. I loved looping guitar riffs and creating a collage of sound. I hope you all enjoyed it. I know John and I didn't rehearse very well with the drums it was more of a spontaneous set. I love to play these songs for the people of the world though. Because they are just songs that i know wouldn't work in the vox jaguars but happen to work in something else. Me and John have a collective together and we sometimes play on the streets. The collective is called "La Familia" and I am thinking about finding other artists and releasing some records. Let me know if you'd like to be a part of this. Thank you to everyone who attended and listened to my songs about love and my jungle jams.

Here is a new song im writing:
===
rude rapscallions always get what they want
dreaming of heroes jimi and robert zimmerman
mother daughter sister lover help me now
you're in a different area code, a different state of mind, and a different town
===
you take everything from my bare hands
struggling for what i always had
and all that i took from granted
you ranted
===

This is a song about people who are culturally deprived and suck the blood of those who live in a wonderful place. Or more like they take your soul for the weekend and you feel exhausted. While sitting in your backyard you just want to float on the clouds, but the thoughts and pressures of your friends act like a poison and permeate your mind jolts of stress and fear.

Hope everyone is a dandy warhol right now.
My new thing is this next phrase I'm about to say.
Take care,
-Jordy
